Fandom: Doctor Who

This is a classic fandom, with so many options to play with, it’s always, to coin a phrase, fantastic! ;P

Ninth Doctor/The Master (Dhawan)

These two live rent-free in my brain. The Doctor, torn apart and raw from the Time War, and the Master, obsessing over the Doctor and being willing to destroy Gallifrey again and again so long as it means they meet again. Both of them deserted the war for different but selfish reasons, and I want to see those values come together and apart again and again.

Prompts:

Nine and the Master cooking food from Gallifrey, for nostalgia or in memory of times when they cooked together in the past (childhood memories, perhaps?)

The Doctor finds the Master before he starts travelling with Rose, while the Master is aware of her, and is surprised they aren’t travelling together, and uses this knowledge to his advantage when they meet

The Master is looking for the Thirteenth Doctor, and finds the Ninth instead, is immediately struck by how young he is/how raw the wounds of the War are, and despite himself he wants to help the wounds heal

Friends to Enemies to Lovers: The Ninth Doctor and the Master occasionally meet up to have some good old-fashioned Hate Sex, except whoops one or both of them have caught feelings

Ruth Clayton | The Doctor/Bill Potts

I firmly believe that if Bill had met the Doctor as a woman-presenting alien, she would be head-over-heels in an instant. I want to see that come together however that means for you.

Prompts:

Bill meets The Doctor while using the Chameleon Arch, and becomes the romantic interest of Ruth Clayton. When she then returns to being a Time Lord, they begin their travels together

The Doctor meets Bill because the TARDIS messed up the Timeline, and the Doctor must find out who Bill is and why she’s important to her

Bill is saved from being a Cyberman by this version of the Doctor, where Bill knows about the Doctor’s future while the Doctor is confused as to how Bill knows about time travel/the future/how to work the basics of the TARDIS

Competence kink and battle couples, anything about this I would adore

Yasmin Khan/Bill Potts

This wasn’t something I had considered before until I saw it nommed in another exchange and you know what? I totally see it! I don’t have much of a preference on what I see here, but I do have some prompts here as well.

Prompts:

Competence kink and battle couples again, I’m a sucker for this sort of thing

Bill stays with the Doctor for the regeneration, and now has to deal with Thirteen meeting her fam and Bill catches feelings for Yaz

Yaz meets Bill while Bill is travelling with the Doctor and keeps up her relationship with Yaz, then one day, the Doctor regenerates and Bill has to come clean about why she drops off the face of the Earth sometimes

Fandom: [SAFETY]: Type A - Ricky Montgomery (Song)

This song is a bop and chock-full of lore that I would love to be explored. However you want to go about it, 10k of just absolute insanity of Type A personalities going at it would be hilarious.

1: Girl Who is Type A

We know nothing about this girl! I want backstory! Who is she, how does she meet Ricky, who else has she been with (friendship or otherwise) in the past? What is she like after she met Ricky and who does she become?

No specific prompts besides backstory or future fic, but if you have a different idea, go for it!

1: Ricky Montgomery

So we know more about Ricky, but how does the girl who is Type A change him? What about the line “You went by and bent my gender back?” I adore that line to the point where it lives rent-free in my brain, gender exploration is one of my favorite tropes.

No specific prompts other than that jumbled mess of thoughts, but if you have an idea, absolutely go for it!

Ricky Montgomery & Girl Who is Type A

Here is what the song is all about! Who is this girl to Ricky, how do they mesh, how do they clash, what secrets have they told each other and what do they realize thanks to the other? Their whole dynamic sounds delightful, and I want more!

Prompts:

How do the two of them meet? Is it through a drunken party? A mutual friend? What about each other makes them hit it off and become close?

Gender!!! That one line that lives rent free! Does Type A help Ricky explore gender? Does she encourage them to try different pronouns? Different clothing styles? How does he settle on he/they pronouns? Does she help him with that decision?

Future fic!!! Obviously these two mean a lot to each other, but do they stay friends or do they drift apart? Do they ever collab on music together? Do they help each other with future partners? What do they face in the world together that they couldn’t before?

Fandom: Pokemon (Main Video Game Series)

Ah, my childhood interests reignited thanks to some really good fanfic and plans for a fic I’m releasing over February, so I thought I’d bring some prompts to the table! Childhood nostalgia mixed with more adult tastes, and I’m curious to see what could come from this!

1: Sakaki | Giovanni

I want to take this man and put him in a jar and shake it just to see what would happen. He’s a mob boss, an ex-gym leader, and a father?! How does he balance all that, if he balances at all? Who is the woman he had Silver with? What is his backstory? Why does he keep gym badges on hand in order to give them out to Trainers who beat him after he no longer leads the gym?

Prompts:

What is the day-to-day of leading Team Rocket? What plans does he make, how do they succeed or fall through?

This man keeps gym badges on hand when facing off with (alleged) ten-year-olds who fight them when they come across his mafia schemes??? Why? What lead him to that batshit conclusion? How does he still have those badges after the gym closed?!

Obviously this man is Silver’s father, but we know nothing of Silver’s mother. If you want to dig into Giovanni’s past, I’d love to see his reasoning for having a son, or who he was to Silver’s mother.

1: Silver (Pokemon)

This literal criminal!!! He stole a Pokemon from the Professor and was always one step ahead of the cops, but eventually his Golbat evolved into Crobat, which only ever happens with a high friendship level??? Give! Me! The! Tea! (My favorite Pokemon to give him is Meganium, but any of the starters are fine!)

Prompts:

We see the hero’s adventure throughout the game, but what about Silver’s? He’s always one step ahead of the Player, and he could be arrested at any time, so why does he wait for you at certain intervals?

This boy has history and we know none of it. What was his childhood like? Why did he steal the Pokemon from Professor Elm? Was he put up to it? Did he just want his own adventure?

When does Silver start really caring about his Pokemon and stop forcing them to battle? When do they start loving him, and he, love them back?

Sakaki | Giovanni/Silver

It would not be a shnuffeluv sign-up without at least one incest prompt. These two are so fascinating as father and son, and I just want to know more about their dynamic. It makes sense! But how did everything get to this point?

Prompts:

Giovanni has an unhealthy obsession with Silver, and initiates a relationship with him so long as Silver can prove that he can steal a Pokemon and defend himself if the time comes

Silver has a case of hero worship for his father, and will do anything to make him happy, including having a sexual relationship

I don’t have a DNW for dubcon or noncon, so if you want to have one or the other of these two go at it like rabbits, with or without reasonable inebriation, with or without consent, you have my blessing to make this ship impossibly fucked up and toxic

Giovanni wants his baby boy back, at any cost (prime material for non-consensual age play)

Fandom: Hell Followed With Us - Andrew Joseph White

This book single-handedly sucked me back into the YA genre after swearing it off when reading The Selection. It has trans, queer, and autistic characters at the forefront of it, and it’s bloody and raw and real, and I adore it. If you like doomsday novels, speculation about how far Christians are willing to go to get their doomsday, and coming of age in really fucked up situations, this book is definitely worth a read.

1: Benji Woodside

Ah, Benji my beloved! I want to know more about him and his history, his relationship to his father versus his mother, and what led to him becoming Seraph.

Prompts:

Before he was selected to be Seraph, what was his life like? How did his mother being a leader of the church affect him? What was life like when Judgement Day happened, and how did he get caught up in this mess with his mother and father?

How did he realize he was trans? When did he tell Theo? What was it like coming out to his father, who tried to get him away from New Nazareth?

What was it like when his father died and he had no time to grieve? Who did he go to in order to process, if he went to anyone at all?

After Benji becomes Seraph, what is his life like? How does the ALC react to him? Does he protect everyone from the other groups of Doomsdayers? If they take over New Nazareth, how does he handle his history with the city he was raised in?

1: Nick (Hell Followed With Us)

A canon autistic character we know nothing about; you know I’m going to imprint on him. He successfully escaped New Nazareth, became a leader in the ALC, became one of their hunters, all while keeping this a secret. What did he do to become their leader alongside Erin and what does he do now that the fight is over?

In the center of the fic, with Benji’s secret, he keeps referring to Benji as “it.” We know his reasoning to an extent and we know why he stops, but how did he come to the conclusion that he would sacrifice Benji in the first place? Did Benji ever snub him on accident in New Nazareth? Why was he so eager to throw Benji to the wolves when he knew they woulds still only get a finite number of resources? Was it because Theo loved Benji and refused to run with him? What drove him to that conclusion?

What was it like growing up in New Nazareth and being autistic? They said in the book that being seen as autistic was obviously a bad thing in the cult, “God gives his biggest struggles to his strongest soldiers” bullshit. How did he handle that? How did he ever keep his cool?

What made Nick run away from the Angels to the ALC? Why did he want to take Theo with him? Why that particular mission?

What was it like when Nick ingested the Flood? How sick did it make him and how did he manage to get through it to become an Angel? How did his family respond? Were they proud? Afraid? Were they relieved at the thought that he might kick the bucket and they wouldn’t deal with a “broken child”?

Benji Woodside/Nick/Theo Clairborne

Listen. I know Theo was a dick. But I can live in denial and pretend he wasn’t when I want this polyship to come through in fanfic. He was accepting of Benji to a point, he could be not-a-dick in the world of fanfic, too. This is me smashing my favorite characters together like Barbie dolls.

Prompts:

Theo agrees to run away with Nick to the ALC. They find Benji together when the Angels come for him. How do they respond to Benji being Seraph? When do they accept him into the polycule?

Benji and Nick are together, and Theo is the one they accept into the polycule. He decides to alert them to the fire in the ALC, he has a change of heart, whatever, but he has to redeem himself and become trusted again before he can join them and be a throuple.

Alternate Universe where Benji doesn’t become Seraph and all of them stay in New Nazareth: how do they keep their rendezvous secret? Who does Benji outwardly have a relationship with and who sneaks into whose bedroom for threesomes? Is it a hinge or a true triangle? What happens when Nick and Theo go on missions as Angels?

1: Worldbuilding

Give me everything this book was about and expand on it and I’d love you forever. The failed experiments before Seraph. The effects of the Flood. The infrastructure of New Nazareth. Anything. I want to know what people think!!! Let me squee with you!

Hell Followed With Us - Andrew Jospeh White

Ah, a classic thriller story. Shnuffeluv? Liking a YA Thriller? Apparently so!

I love this book, I devoured it over the course of three days. Despite being a tiny bit squeamish at the description of the Graces, the way it tackled trans characters, autistic characters, queer characters, and religious trauma intrigued me! I loved the characters, they felt so real and the interpersonal relationships were top-notch, not to mention the whole aspect of having to hide your true self from those around you who you want to trust! It’s an amazing book.

Char: Nick (Hell Followed With Us)

We only saw a tiny bit of Nick’s perspective, and that’s a shame because his inner thoughts were so intriguing! What was he like when he was an Angel? What was his life like back in New Nazareth, why did he beg Theo to follow him to the ALC? What made him convinced that Benji could be used as proof to the doomsdayers that they deserved supplies? I would love anything from Nick’s childhood to post-canon on this one!

Benji Woodside/Nick (Hell Followed With Us)

The canon couple! I have so many questions! How do they navigate Benji’s new form? How do they reconcile who they are with the rest of the ALC? How do they learn to communicate with each other, and does Nick make Benji bead lizards more than once? They’re adorable and terrifying in equal measure, and I want to see your take on how their relationship could evolve!

Benji Woodside/Theo Clairborne/Nick (Hell Followed With Us)

At first I thought this was going to be a love triangle that could be solved with polyamory, but even despite the fact that it’s not, these three together could have been such delightful chaos! Theo respecting Benji’s identity to a point, Nick’s no-nonsense attitude and staunch respect for Benji, plus Benji himself would make an interesting pissing contest between these three. I’d love to see any interpretation of how they got together—did Theo agree to run away with Nick to the ALC and they stumble across Benji? Does Theo come along with Benji during the ambush and they both get saved?

Established relationship would also be wonderful—how do they react when they’ve settled into their relationship, and how does the world change to accomodate them and their conflicting ideals? Where do they compromise? Where do they just agree to disagree? Who does the dishes and who tends to Benji’s wings?

The Mysterious Benedict Society - Trenton Lee Stewart

You already probably know this has been my latest recurring obsession, but I love everything about this series—the anacronistic time period, the slow slide from pure science fiction to more fantasy as the series progresses, and the witty humor while still being a children’s book is just delightful!

McCracken/Milligan (The Mysterious Benedict Society)

Do I have an excuse for being obsessed with this ship? Does enemies-to-lovers with homoerotic undertones count as an excuse? I love these two’s banter with my whole heart, and I can imagine them in another life being just—such partners in crime, or justice! I see them as soulmates who would be disgusted to find out the other is their soulmate purely from a morals standpoint. McCracken is said to be a model prisoner—polite and obliging the guards’ wishes, which is interesting, considering his violent tendencies, but maybe with Milligan he could have that same obliging nature under different circumstances?

Or maybe they just have delicious hate sex with some dub-con tossed on top while one of them is held captive by the other. That works too.

Yotsuba to! | Youtsuba&!

I love this slice-of-life series with my whole heart. The sweetness of the characters, Yotsuba’s childlike wonder at everything, and making every day a new discovery, a new adventure, it’s idyllic and lovely. I honestly am obsessed, and I can’t believe I didn’t think to request it sooner!

Char: Koiwai Yotsuba (Yotsuba to!)

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I love how every day is a new adventure for Yotsuba. What does she discover next, and does her previous learning factor into it at all? Where does she come from? What was her life like before she was adopted? Or what is she like as she grows older, starts going to school, or even later, once she’s an older child, a young teen, an adult? Does she keep that same wonder? How so?

Koiwai Yotsuba & Koiwai Yousuke

I want to know how these two meet! I want to know what about Yotsuba mad Yousuke want to take her in! I want to know what it was like before they moved! I want to know how it was just the two of them, and how their relationship continues throughout their lives. How does everything slide into place?

Koiwai Yotsuba & Koiwai Yousuke & Takeda Takashi

I loved the addition of Jumbo from the very start! These three together cause such trouble, and the domestic moments are so cute! Yotsuba just going full-energy with Jumbo, and Jumbo’s gentle giant, go-with-the-flow attitude about Yotsuba while Yousuke is the voice of reason with exasperation for Jumbo in spades, it’s great and I’d love to see more of it! Whatever you have in mind for these three would be adorable.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023)

This movie is so hilariously campy and self-referencial, and I adored every moment of it. The dynamics of the characters, the rivalry with Mario and Donkey Kong, the whole Bowser situationship with literally everyone around him, the Peaches song…I literally adored the hilarity and absurdity of it all.

Mario/Luigi

I feel like at this point it wouldn’t be a shnuffeluv request without at least one incest ship. But these two are so desperately co-dependent with each other it’s insane. Literally Mario cannot function without Luigi there to ground him, and I want to see what it would be like if they were more than just brothers, but lovers as well.

Bowser/Luigi

I love the tension between these two, and I’m a sucker for enemies-to-lovers. I can imagine them going zero-to-sixty in thirty seconds flat, or the gentle, subtle getting closer until oops, they’ve been dating for six months and they’re the last people to realize it! Plus, Luigi just strikes me as a monsterfucker. What else do you need to know?

Bowser/Luigi/Peach

Take what I love about Bowser/Luigi, ramp it up to eleven, and throw in some common sense with Peach, and you’ve got a recipe for a wonderful, complicated, homey relationship. How does this unlikely pairing happen? Does Bowser make a move on Peach and then Luigi? Or Luigi then Peach? Do Luigi and Peach get together and approach Bowser? Is this relationship more consensual or blackmail-like in nature? It doesn’t have to be a healthy relationship! Give me whatever ideas you’ve got, I’d love to see it!

Doctor Who (2005)

I am perpetually behind on this show, so full disclaimer: as of writing this letter I haven’t finished through the fourteenth Doctor. I love to see interactions from characters in Thirteen’s run and earlier, back to Rose, though! I love the monster-of-the-week episodes the best, and the creepiest ones to me are the ones that focus on human nature or where the everyday things are deadly (looking at you, Midnight and The Waters of Mars)!

Yasmin Khan/Bill Potts

I saw this in the tagset and honesly? Galaxy brain, 10/10, would have never thought of this pairing myself but it’s so beautiful. Maybe in another timeline, Bill joins the support group for people who have left The Doctor, and she and Yaz connect on a deeper level. Maybe they meet at the Uni Bill works at and strike up a conversation. Maybe Bill stays with the Doctor as she regenerates and when they meet Yaz Bill just falls head-over-heels. I have no coherent thoughts on plot for this one, just two of my faves being smashed together like the Barbie Dolls they are.

Fandom: Rick - Ricky Montgomery (Album)

Why I like it: This album has such a melancholy, nostalgic feel to it. It feels like someone trying to recreate their childhood, where everything was simpler and a little less chaotic, but who still can’t figure out how to get that spark back, because they know the nostalgia will have to end eventually. I love the whole album, and it’s a delight. My two favorite tracks are Don’t Say That and Type A, should you choose to rely on those for any of the prompts!

Prompts!:

1: Worldbuilding: There are so many options you could go with this option! I want to see more of the world Ricky created, maybe something that happens in Truth or Dare which got scrapped, or else whoever he’s talking to in Don’t Say That which set him off? How does everything play out throughout the album, in the way one song bleeds into another? What caused that specific order to come about? What is the melancholy about, to you?

1: Ricky Montgomery: Ah, yes, the titular character of the album! I want to see anyone’s take on the album and how Ricky plays a role in it. Why he wrote it, if you want to get meta, or just who he is in relation to the songs and narrative! I love the little interludes with his mother, and you could absolutely tie those in here if you wanted, just to see an extra level of depth into his character—however you see his persona! Feel free to make him sad and pathetic, or just a little reminiscent of the past. Either way, I would not be disappointed!

Ricky Montgomery & Girl Who is Type A: Ah, yes, Type A is a fantastic song and I love the way Ricky and this girl bounce off of each other! Whether you give her a name or just the titular Type A personality, I want to see what would propel this song forward. Why was Ricky’s gender broken? What made them call their fathers sociopaths? There’s so much left unsaid in this song, and I’d love to see how, exactly, these two would get along, and the ways in which they don’t, as well!

Fandom: Original Work

Why I like it: Worldbuilding, and getting to know the characters in a story, getting to care about these people who could be part of a world you had never thought of before. Enough said.

Prompts!:

1: Vampire Who Was Turned in the 1990s (Any): Listen. This entire concept reads like a Tumblr shitpost, because that’s where I got the idea. Everyone likes to make vampires old and mysterious, yet young-looking, but there’s so much potential for someone to discover this individual is a vampire, ask them about all this ancient stuff, and them to respond: “I went to high school in 1985, I know nothing more about these classes than you do.” But also, a vampire who prefers VCRs and videotapes to DVDs or streaming, one who adores Tamagotchi and the whole 90s aesthetic is hilarious. Or even make them a savvy influencer on Instagram or TikTok, have the fans theorize about why it looks like they haven’t aged a day in video, and how do they manage to get great shots without getting themselves caught in the mirror? (Unless of course you go the old mirrors were made of silver and new mirrors aren’t so they can see themselves route!)

1: Eldritch Angel: I did not prompt this one, but the idea won’t leave my head. Why/how is the angel eldritch? What world/dimension do they come from, and how does their system work? Do they walk amongst humans in disguise, are they part of some bureaucratic system for deciding who goes to what afterlife, or Heaven/Hell, or whatever? And the religious symbolism and implications here are just delicious. I want to see whatever you’ve got, this would be fascinating to read!

High/Urban Fantasy Apothecary & Trans Characters Apothecary Helps Transition: Trans characters being their authentic selves! How does the whole paperwork thing go in Urban Fantasy? How do they get the ingredients to transition in high fantasy? Is the change magical and instant, magical and slow, or is it just HRT with a couple extra steps to make everything look a little more authentic? How do the trans characters react to seeing their authentic selves? Is the apothecary trans as well? So many possibilities, all of them amazing!

Cis Man With Pet Play Kink/Trans Man Catboy: This is just a smut prompt. I can’t think of much else by way of prompts, just. Look at my smut likes and look at Pet Play tropes and if you like either of those absolutely write this!

Fandom: The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023)

Why I like it: It’s campy and full of references and all in all is just a really fun romp of the possibilities that could happen when Mario and Luigi are first introduced to the Mushroom Kingdom. It’s great!

1: Bowser: This goober is hilarious and I personally believe that Jack Black was the best choice for Bowser for this movie. I love the way that he showed his obsession with Peach, but also? The way he was so sincere and acting almost like a high school boy who had no idea how to interact with his crush who’s the most popular cheerleader on the team? The way he was just. So earnest about being a villain was awesome. I would love to see more of his character explored, with his underlings or with his obsession with Peach, or what he was like as a child, even, just figuring things out. For a little bit of an out-of-the-box idea: Does Bowser keep a diary/journal, and what does he put in it?

Bowser/Luigi: We deserved more homoerotic content! I love mild twink Luigi with massive bear that is Bowser, and the two of them together is just…yes, please! Whether you write canon-compliant with a more intense interrogation from Bowser, or Luigi talking to Bowser once he’s trapped in a cage in the Mushroom Kingdom, or an AU where Luigi joins the darkside, works side-by-side with Bowser, I’d love to see what they have together! If you want to go dark, Luigi stuck in a cage above magma forced to entertain Bowser or else be dropped…that would be so fun, too.

Bowser/Peach: What if the bad guy won? What if Peach was more interested in Bowser than Mario and together they tried to take over the world? I’m so interested to see what they could be together, and what you like to see in their relationship if they were destined to be instead of her and Mario.

Mario/Luigi: I love me some codependency, and these boys are so, so codependent. The way they just need each other, and how Mario would go to the ends of the Earth for Luigi, I can see them being so messy and so obsessed with each other and I love the whole needy brothers who cannot get over each other enough to even consider other people. Give me curtainfic to dubcon, I’m so obsessed.

Fandom: The Two Princes Season One

Why I like it: It’s a self-contained, star-crossed lovers story where they overcome fate, they’re gay, and marketed towards kids! I love gay love stories, throw in fantasy and dragons and I’m sold!

Amir & Atossa or Rupert & Lavinia: I want to know about the boys and their relationship with their mothers! Pre-series or what you view happening after Season One, regardless of the later seasons, because Atossa and Lavinia only appear in Season One, I want to see how they feel about their boys being gay/bi/some flavor of queer.

Amir & Lavinia or Rupert & Atossa: The in-law drama! I want to see all of it! Lavinia’s disappointment at Rupert’s lack of enthusiasm for parties and Amir getting protective? Rupert having opinions on Atossa not letting Amir have a childhood and training him his entire life for a fight? Give me the fights, the culture clashes, everything about the boys and their in-laws!

Atossa/Lavinia: You cannot convince me that these two do not have history before the forest. The way they will work together to save their sons, and the way that they act towards each other, there is so much tension just begging to be resolved with either hate sex or a heart-to-heart. I would also love an AU where the queens are the ones sent into magical peril, and they have to solve mysteries, or save a kingdom, or go on a quest! Give me butterfly effects or urban fantasy AUs, I’d love it all!

Milligan/Moocho Brazos - This is not a ship I ever saw as a kid, and then I read a few choice fics with those undertones and I realized that there is potential for a really sweet ship here! Fluffy fics on the farm, playful banter about who's the better dad--and Moocho comforting Milligan about how he's doing a great job catching up after ten years--I see this as a really sweet, fluffy ship that has endless possibilities!

McCracken/Milligan - And then on the flip side, we have one of the most fucked-up ships I can imagine! It's about the homoerotic tension, the desire to come out on top no matter what, the deep hatred that turns into obsession until no one can hurt them but each other. I'm not looking for fluff with this ship, although if you wanted to go the yandere route where one believes it's true love to the other's horror, that sounds absolutely delicious and I support you whole-heartedly!

S.Q. Pedalian & Any Executive - You know remember that scene in the first book where S.Q. left a note to help remember the code and then Jackson left a note on the note telling S.Q. to knock it off? The total office-worker vibes? That's what inspired this whole idea. I want to know more about the interactions between these people, especially those who think that S.Q. shouldn't be an Executive because, as the third book says, Curtain keeps S.Q. around out of love.

WB: Executive Life at L.I.V.E. (Mysterious Benedict Society) - Same deal as above, but broader and with less of a focus on any character. What is it like to teach the classes at the Institute? How do the Executives, some who might even only be in the second half of teenager-dom, handle the responsibilities that come along with that? Running a school is no easy feat, and who handles the finances when Curtain is busy trying to take over the world? Who's collecting the newspapers from across the globe? There are so many questions that go unanswered!

The Mysterious Benedict Society (TV)

Ledroptha Curtain & S.Q. Pedalian - Okay so. Is Curtain a terrible father? Absolutely. But how terrible is he on the regular? Does he have his good days, or is he always trying to manipulate S.Q.? What does S.Q. think of the situation, only knowing a little about what parents are supposed to be like from other kids at the Institute? How does Curtain interact with his son when he's younger/older/when his plans are going well/poorly? I'd love to see this explored!

Nicholas Benedict & S.Q. Pedalian - This is...self-indulgent to the max. Benedict and S.Q. interacting makes my brain go whirring at ten thousand miles an hour. How does Nicholas react to learning he's an uncle? How does S.Q. react to Nicholas, based on what his father has told him? How do they grow past that and reconcile, provided they do that at all?

Nicholas Benedict/Ledroptha Curtain - They are brothers fated to meet, they are sworn enemies to one and the last tether to anything resembling family and roots to the other. They are fire and fury versus light and mirth. In this universe, they were never destined to be, but in another time, another place, they might have been.

Suffice to say, anything either in canon 'verse or AU is fine here! If you want to write about star-crossed love, cool! Want to write some sci-fi epic where their love transcends galaxies? Go for it! A coffee shop employee desperately wants their manager to finally step up and ask the guy they're always bickering with out already? Love to see it!

Original Human(s) & Original Alien(s) - Listen, this meme kinda speaks for itself. I've written this genre before and it's always, always delightful. Whether you go total crack with the aliens being dumbfounded by the humans, or have something really sweet with humans packbonding to everyone on their crew, I guarantee I will love it. I feel like Ledroptha would spontaneously combust, but maybe he sees Buster as a tool to incriminate Nicholas? Maybe Nicholas is the one who is thoroughly unamused with however Buster ended up with them? How do either of them react to how Buster describes his family? Or the reverse: how does the Bluth family react when they meet Nicholas & Ledroptha? Do they think Buster finally got his act together? I'm dying to know!

Buster Bluth (Arrested Development)/Milligan (MBS TV) - This may seem like a crack ship, and it kind of is, but I love the thought of it. Milligan being assigned to watch Buster for reasons, maybe Nicholas needs him to be watched, maybe Curtain is trying to get to Buster and Buster flees and Milligan finds him, whatever. And feelings start to develop because Buster has no idea how to react to a man being kind to him and Milligan likes seeing the softer, more innocent side of who could have been his boss.

Ledroptha Curtain (MBS TV)/Count Olaf (ASOUE TV) - These two are the most toxic theatre kid messes I have ever seen, and I want them to interact so badly. I want to know how they meet, how they get together, every messy fight or scheme to capture the children they ever go through, and I want to watch it how one watches a train fly off the railroad tracks.

Stardew Valley (Video Games)

Elliott/Male Player - It is with great shame I inform you I have never successfully been able to woo Elliott in-game...I don't have the patience to make it through more than half a season in a single sitting. But I love this man and his absent-minded look and his thoughts on writing...and I wanted to see more content about both him and the player. Maybe they're getting married? Maybe they're trading thoughts on writing (considering we're all in this fanwork exchange and most of us like to write)? Whatever you come up with, I'm sure I'll love.

The Two Princes (Podcast)

Atossa/Lavinia - I know these two are like. Supposed to hate each other or whatever in-show but. I just don't buy it? They always sounded more like jilted lovers than genuine enemies to me. And the political implications! I'm not usually one for politics world-building in fanfic but I'd love to see how the courts and the nations react were the two queens to admit their love for each other!

Barabbas/Lord Chamberlain - This is a ship I haven't thought about in a while but when I saw it in the tagset I knew I had to request it! The repressed royal advisor versus the rogue-ish jester tropes! And they get together! It's made all the more funny because they share a voice actor. But this ship has marvelous opportunities to delve into the past, precisely because they have none! Make it up to your heart's content!

The Mysterious Benedict Society - Trenton Lee Stewart

Nicholas Benedict & Ledroptha Curtain - Okay, I know they were sworn enemies in the book, but listen: only Curtain viewed them that way. Nicholas was perpetually trying to reach out, to be kind, to ensure that everyone involved was safe. Why? What did he see in Ledroptha that we missed because we were reading from the children’s perspectives? The possibilities are ripe for the taking!

I’d love to see their interactions post-The Prisoner’s Dilemma but pre-The Riddle of Ages, if you want to include that. What caused Curtain to turn tail? Did Benedict finally get him to listen? We only see the kids’ speculation! But if we got to see some more options from the adults’ perspective, that would be totally epic.

Constance Contraire & Number Two - Have you ever considered that one exchange in The Perilous Journey where Number Two asks Constance to clean her room and Constance flat-out refuses because she doesn't want to confuse Number Two on the island? No? Well, I have, and it drives me absolutely crazy that we don't see more sisterly interactions between these two in the books. I'd love to see your take on how they bond, or their biggest fights over the smallest instances, and anything in between! Nicholas consoling Number Two when Number Two feels like she's not being a good enough sister, Constance sneaking off to Rhonda to ask what Number Two would like in order to feel appreciated...The possibilities only stop with your imagination!

Chars: The Mysterious Benedict Society (MBS TV) - Honestly if you look at my entry for the books, this would read much the same. Adventure? Sleepy afternoons in? Canon-compliant? AU? Give me anything! What if there was more psychic than just Constance? Sure! Kate goes missing and the others have to do cartwheeling backflips to rescue her? Why not? Play with the dynamics, or lean into what's already established! I love to see it!

Rhonda Kazembe & Number Two (MBS TV) - These two have such a complicated history. They bicker like sisters and are loyal like lovers, they push and pull and test each other all the time, but when push comes to shove they are willing to fight side by side for each other and for the causes they believe in. Anything you can come up with for these two, I'd love. Honestly I don't have many specific prompts for them because I'm just curious about what you want to interpret them as!

Martina Crowe/Kate Wetherall (MBS TV) - Lesbians! Disasters! These two are absolutely off-the-wall in just the right way to create either a fantastic relationship or the worst girlfriends known to mankind, and I am absolutely down for either of those options! Give me tetherball practice, or a Hallmark AU, or sweet moments after Season 2 when Martina's professional tetherball team comes by Stonetown and Kate comes to cheer her on! Alternately, Martina taking advantage of Kate being reliant on her scholarship, or Kate forcing Martina to listen to her if she ever wants to be exonerated on the island! Seriously, whichever way you play this would be amazing!

How does this all play into the rest of the world, if it does at all?

Constance Contraire & Tai Li - Once again, the possibility for worldbuilding here! The psychic characters fascinate me, and I’d love to see more Constance helping Tai however she can! Maybe right before Riddle of Ages, when Constance is leading Tai to the house? Maybe after, as Tai is growing up, and Constance helps him hone his skills along with his aunt? I’m so curious! I want to hear your perspective!

Milligan & Kate Wetherall - Let's be real, we're missing massive chunks of the picture of these two! What happens immediately after they get back to the farm? How many fights do they have based on the way Kate was raised vs Milligan's ideas on how she should go about the rest of her life? The danger and reckless abandonment of an adrenaline junkie daughter vs the exasperation and concern of a father?

Alternately, you could also go with Kate and Milligan post The Prisonner's Dilemma, as he slowly brings her into spywork! How did that first conversation go? How many gray hairs has Milligan acquired from Kate's close calls on missions? I'm deathly curious about your potential take on that!

Milligan & None - He's a mysterious man in a mysterious book. We never find out his real name, why no one came looking for him, who he loved enough to have Kate with. Why? What happened in his past that he no longer wants to be associated with any of it, even if he has his memories back?

Canon-compliant is welcome, but if you want to go canon-divergent too, I'd love to see what butterfly effects you could create. What if "Accidental Baby Acquisicion" applied to Kate? Who was Milligan's childhood friend who pushed him into spydom? What if he met Nicholas earlier, pre-amnesia? Go nuts, or play it straight, I love it all.

Okay but. Like. How does Hobbes exist?! As a tiger?! To Calvin, but everybody else he's a stuffed animal?! Like, Bill Waterson has said it's simply because everyone sees Hobbes one way but Calvin sees him another, but that explanation never satisfied me. Is there a similar situation with Susie and Mr. Bun? Are all stuffed animals sentient to their kids and their kids alone? Or is this unique to Calvin? Ah, the core four! The protagonists of the story! I'd love to hear about any and all of their adventures that occur outside the books. It's obvious some time passes between The Riddle of Ages and The Prisoner's Dilemma. What happens in that time? What do the children get up to that keeps them from being bored in schooling and entertained if they have nothing to do and don't feel like pursuing any educational endeavors? How much rude poetry does Constance create? How does Kate nearly take off people's heads with whatever she's doing? What does Sticky memorize about the others? How does Reynie manage to corral them all to focus on something important? And for that matter, how does this continue after Riddle of Ages?

Milligan & Kate Wetherall (Mysterious Benedict Society)

These two have a lot to catch up on after the first book. How awkward is it after the novelty of being reunited wears off? Does Kate have to get a boyfriends talk from Milligan? Does she have to get the period talk from him? What wacky adventures do they get up to on the farm? How does Kate adjust to having someone there to care for her consistently, and how does she handle Milligan being away from her on missions, knowing he might not come back, if she even realizes that at all?

This entire world is so fanciful and it feels like it could be set anywhere, at any time. I'd love to know more about it! From how the Institute become so acclaimed, to why Number Two picked up sewing, to how Benedict/Curtain figured out that green plaid is soothing, and how they came up with the whole...uh...suit situation. Truly, the sky (and my DNWs) are the limit here! (And as pointed out in my other section, feel free to experiment with Outsider POV/OCs if this strikes your fancy!)

Nicholas Benedict/Ledroptha Curtain (Mysterious Benedict Society)

I nominated this in case you feel inclined to write about Benedict and Curtain and like incest as much as I do in your fiction, lol. I'm open to just about anything with these two, so long as there's an eventual happy ending, or at least a hopeful one. Angst and guilt at incest is always golden, but people just rolling with it and allowing them to bicker like boyfriends around the house is also fun to see! The limits are only your imagination and my DNWs.

Nicholas Benedict & S.Q. Pedalian (Mysterious Benedict Society)

This is...self-indulgent to the max. Benedict and S.Q. interacting makes my brain go whirring at ten thousand miles an hour. How does Nicholas react to learning he's an uncle? How does S.Q. react to Nicholas, based on what his father has told him? How do they grow past that and reconcile, provided they do that at all?

Reynie Muldoon & Ms. Perumal (Mysterious Benedict Society)

This is also painfully self-indulgent. These two are so cute together, and I want to hear about their lives before when Reynie's in the orphanage and after Reynie is adopted. I want to hear about Reynie's mental letters to Ms. Perumal that are less plot-driven and more day-to-day. I want to know how/if Ms. Perumal struggles to keep Reynie occupied, both before and after the mission. Seriously, go as self-indulgent and fluffy/angsty you want!

Reynie Muldoon & S.Q. Pedalian (Mysterious Benedict Society)

An epic friendship, to be sure! I know SQ was hurt by Reynie when he found the letter, but considering everything, I think these two could definitely be friends if they were willing to talk through everything! Not to mention, they had to have interacted beyond that one exchange in the forest and Reynie trying to get in there, or else SQ wouldn't have risked his father's wrath so easily. What happened at the school to make SQ and Reynie so close?

WB: General Life at the Institute (Mysterious Benedict Society)

This is a great point for outsider perspective, or OC characters, which I will happily accept if that's the direction you want to go in. How does the testing work with the rankings? How does Martina claw her way to the top, by any means necessary? And how do most kids react when they first come to the school and realize how...weird all the classes are? It's all such a great opportunity that we never get to explore in the series!

WB: The Functions of the Whisperer (Mysterious Benedict Society)

I'm not going to pretend to know jack about psychology, but I know a lot about cults and how they function, and the Whisperer/Curtain act a lot like the reward system for cults. I'd love to know about how the Whisperer got to the point it did, where the fine-tuning happened so that the love-bombing wasn't overwhelming and instead felt natural and comforting. Not to mention, in the series, when Constance destroys it, how the hell did she manage that? What caused it to overload and start sparking? Was it simply Constance's psychic abilities, or was it something she thought into the machine that caused it to stop functioning?

Count Olaf (A Series of Unfortunate Events)/Ledroptha Curtain (The Mysterious Benedict Society)

These two have the potential to be so campy together. They're evil, sure, but Curtain practices his evil speeches in the mirror, and Count Olaf is a theatre kid at heart. Imagine the havoc they would wreak if they joined forces! There's also the fact that Tony Hale plays both Curtain and Jerome Squalor, so if you wanted to make a plot point out of that fact, I certainly wouldn't complain! (I really love the thought of Curtain just going "what do you mean there's a third?!" to Olaf and there's like. A pregnant silence before Olaf goes "...Third?" in confusion.) Any scenario you put them into, mortal peril or curtainfic (ha!) sounds perfect to me!

Klaus Baudelaire (A Series of Unfortunate Events) & Sticky Washington (The Mysterious Benedict Society)

Okay, this friendship came out of a fic I read once and I absolutely want more of. Their love of books could be a bonding point, as well as having guardians who were...less than caring, to put it lightly. If you want to send them on a journey, by all means, feel free! If you want them to have nice things happen for an entire 10k worth of fic, that's awesome too! Truth be told, this friendship is wholesome enough that even if you do take them into mortal peril, I still will probably develop cavities from "the power of friendship" fluff.

Doctor Who (2005)

Ruth Clayton | The Doctor/Bill Potts

I love this ship for all of its potential. The Fugitive Doctor has all the teeth that Twelve did and then some. Bill asks all the right questions, and I think she could unlock a softer side of this Doctor that we only get glimpses of when she explains herself to Thirteen. There's so much of the universe that we don't get to see that would be magical to Bill, and I think the Doctor would love to show her every last inch of the Universe.

Ninth Doctor/Jack Harkness/Rose Tyler

Ah, my classic OT3. As far as I'm concerned, there was no rivalry for Rose's affections and these three were always dating. Jack and Nine would have a friendly rivalry for Rose's affection, but nothing more. Nine is war-torn and damaged, but he learns to see lightness in the universe again thanks to Rose and Jack. Rose learns that she's important through Nine and Jack. And Jack learns that he might be able to settle down thanks to Rose and Nine. It's oh-so complicated, and yet oh-so-simple all at once.

Monster Prom

Full disclosure, I haven't played Camp yet, so if you make references to that, I won't recognize them. That doesn't mean I don't want nods to it at all, but I couldn't tell you that's where they're from.

I have the same prompt ideas for both these groups, it's up to you whether you want to make them platonic or otherwise. The group of player characters have a photo at the end of Monster Prom with the fur of them in a band called "The Player Characters." I want to see more of the band! What if they made it big? What if they went on tour? What if they had a fanbase that loved their music?!

Beyond the band, it's obvious they know each other, but how do they know each other beyond classmates? How did they meet? How did they all end up competing for the six most popular classmates to take to prom?! I want answers! And maybe some friendly rivalry or UST between the player characters!

The Mysterious Benedict Society (TV)

Constance Contraire & Original Psychic Character (TMBS TV)

There is so little we know about the TV iteration of Constance Contraire. Where did she learn about her gifts? Where did she come from? I want to see her interact with another psychic, and essentially have the "Oh, shit, you're like me!" realization, complete with the guilt and conflict of opening up to this character, who also must have felt alone in the world before they identified their gifts for what they were.

This one has so much potential for either crack, or angst, or potentially even fluff! SQ must have opinions about his father and uncle being romantically involved. Does he ship it? Is he a little confused, since he thought his dad hated his uncle's guts for the longest time? Is he being a little shit and having them compete for his affections in order to get what he wants? The limits only end with your imagination!

Reynie Muldoon & S.Q. Pedalian (TMBS TV)

Truly, their clashing personalities are great to watch, and I love seeing these two come together over their shared love of truth and their desire to help Mr. Benedict.

Reynie Muldoon & Constance Contraire (TMBS TV)

These two were always close in the books, and their TV dynamic was really interesting! I'd love to see quiet missing scenes at the Institute, or what happens later on after they're home. What happens when Constance denies the adoption? Does Reynie talk to her, questioning why she'd "throw away" such a golden opportunity, putting a strain on them? Or does Constance confide in him that she's too scared to risk being accepted by Mr. Benedict? The choice is up to you!

McGee growled as he struggled with the impossible piece of fabric around his neck. Torres turned to look at him and asked, "What's wrong?"

"It's this stupid bow tie!" McGee exclaimed. "I can't get it on right! It's always crooked, or drooping, or..."

"Come here. Let me fix it," Torres said, gesturing McGee over with his hands.

McGee rolled his eyes and walked over, head tilted up as Torres wrestled with the tie for him. "There we go," Torres said after a minute.

Looking into the mirror in front of them, McGee begrudgingly admitted that Nick did a better job with the bow tie than he could ever do himself. "Thanks. I don't know how Ducky handles these things everyday," McGee grumbled.

Torres laughed. "Surely you've had to wear a bow tie before?" he asked.

"Yeah, but someone else always has to help me with it," McGee sighed. "I can never do it on my own, and it sucks."

Torres just smirked, and said nothing.

"What?" McGee asked.

Torres shrugged. "It's nothing."

"What is it?" McGee pressed. "You don't smirk over nothing."

"It's just...kinda cute, you needing help with that. I can see the ladies loving getting to fix your bow tie before you walk in somewhere important," Torres said.

McGee brought a hand up to the bow tie in thought. "You think?"

"If they like doing it with regular ties, then they love doing it with bow ties. Bow ties are only for special occasions," Torres said knowingly.

"Ducky wears one every day," McGee challenged.

"Ducky is the exception, not the rule," Torres replied. "And besides, to him, every day has a special occasion. He's an infuriating optimist like that."

McGee laughed, because it was true, and absolutely something that Torres would see as infuriating. "Don't tell me you don't like optimists?" he asked.

"Not really," Torres said, wrinkling his nose. "In small doses it's okay, but if someone is always optimistic it drives me nuts."

"How do you stand Bishop then?" McGee asked.

"In small doses," Torres said simply.

McGee laughed at that response. "What is it with you and having deadpan answers?"

"Maybe I'm just that funny," Torres said, smirking.

McGee rolled his eyes. "Yeah, somehow, I doubt that."

Torres mocked offense and shoved McGee, who shoved right back. They undoubtedly would have wound up in a wrestling match on the floor had Gibbs not come in and barked, "McGee! Torres! Get out here and get your earwigs in!"

"Yes, boss!" the two said, walking out of the changing room they had been using.

Bishop looked them over and whistled. "You both clean up nice," she said appreciatively.

"Who cleans up better, though?" Torres asked, cocky grin firmly in place.

Bishop looked between the two and grinned. "Actually, Nick, I think McGee cleans up better."

McGee laughed and Torres held a hand to his chest. "I had to fix his bow tie for him! Doesn't that take away the appeal?"

Bishop shrugged. Nick growled. McGee just laughed.

"Hm? Oh, no, no, it's my treat," McGee said, sipping at his soda.

"Come on, man. This place isn't exactly McDonald's," Torres said.

"Yeah, but it's not a five-star restaurant either," McGee shot back. "It's fifteen bucks. That won't kill me. And you can pick up the tab next time if you feel so bad about it."

"You have to promise me you'll let me pick up the next tab if you pick up this one," Torres said, pointing. "Because you've picked up the last three."

McGee laughed. "Well, I do make a little more than you, being SFA and all."

"Oh, is that how it's gonna be?" Torres asked with a laugh. "Showing off your money when the girls aren't around to call you out on it?"

McGee rolled his eyes. "No, I'm just saying that I can afford to go out more than most people, and because I drag you along to have someone to talk to, I'll make sure you don't have to worry about the cost."

"Oh," Torres said, considering this new information. "Well, I guess that's okay. But next time, I'm picking up the tab."

"Yeah, if you insist," McGee said, pulling out his wallet.

"It is nice to get away from the girls sometimes. Like, don't get me wrong, I love them to death, but they can be a bit..."

"...Enthusiastic?" McGee supplied, arching an eyebrow.

"Something like that," Torres agreed. "You're not like that most of the time. You're more laid back."

"Thanks, I think," McGee said, chuckling. He put the needed money on the table and stood, soda in hand. "Ready to get back to the enthusiasm?"

"Not quite yet," Torres groaned. "Don't you think that we could take the long way back?"

"Sure, if you want Gibbs to kill us," McGee said.

Torres groaned again as they got in McGee's car. "I could use a vacation," he grumbled. "This job is exhausting."

"Exhausting? Yeah. But also rewarding, don't you think?" McGee asked.

"Well, yeah," Torres reluctantly agreed. "It's nice to be able to stop the bad apples before they ruin the whole bunch. But working a desk is more tiring than being deep undercover for literal years."

McGee laughed. "I would argue it's the other way around. At least if you're riding a desk you can be yourself, right? You don't have to pretend to be someone you're not."

"I know. It's exhausting," Torres said with a shudder.

McGee put a hand on his shoulder. "You know you don't have to pretend to be anything you're not at the office, right?" he asked.

"Sure," Torres said, looking out the window at the road.

"I mean it, Torres. No one at the office would mind you being yourself, provided you're not, like, a completely irredeemable character," McGee said. "Just be yourself, for once."

"I'll try," Nick reluctantly agreed.

McGee looked down at his desk, at the vintage typewriter on his desk, as well as the full ream of paper just waiting to be used, and he looked around the bullpen. "Whose typewriter is this?" he asked, brows furrowing. Bishop just shook her head in bewilderment. Quinn subtly pointed to Torres. McGee's frown deepened. "Nick?"

"As of today, yours," Torres said. "I was helping my sister clean out her attic. I saw this and it reminded me of you."

"So...you're giving it to me?" McGee asked.

"Well, my sister said she was going to just throw it out otherwise," Nick said with a shrug. "And I know you like that sort of...thing. Bishop told me about your typewriter at home."

"Yeah, for the record, I had no idea he would go out and get you something because of it," Bishop said, raising her hands in surrender. "This was all him."

McGee looked down in no small amount of wonder at the device in front of him. "The keys will need some getting used to," he said, scratching his head. "And it will probably need fresh ribbons, but this is really thoughtful. Thanks, Nick."

"Don't go getting sappy on me, now," Torres warned. "Whenever you use my first name you start getting sappy, and it's just embarrassing for everyone involved."

McGee laughed. "Fine. Thanks, Torres. Now do you have those reports I asked you to fill out yesterday?"

Torres didn't say anything and Quinn winced. "Ooh, sounds like someone was trying to butter McGee up because he forgot to finish his reports."

"That's not what this was," Torres said. "I was so busy helping my sister over the weekend that I forgot. I'll have them done by the end of the day."

"Yeah? You'd better. Gibbs will keel-haul both of us if you don't get your reports done," McGee warned.

"He wouldn't," Torres scoffed.

"He would," everyone in the bullpen responded in unison.

Torres looked around and swallowed. "Okay. I'll just...work on those reports, then."

"Thank you," McGee said, sitting down and feeding paper into the typewriter, to see if the ribbon needed to be replaced right away or not.

He didn't fail to notice Torres looking over, pleased. McGee inwardly rolled his eyes. Of course Torres would seem happy that McGee enjoyed his gift. He was probably patting himself on the back for thinking about doing that. His only consolation was that Torres did indeed seem to be working on reports, and Gibbs hadn't swooped in and taken Torres away from those reports yet.

At the end of the day, McGee had the paperwork Torres had done and everyone was going to go out for a drink. "Coming, McGee?" Torres asked.

"I'll pass," McGee said, looking at the typewriter on his desk with the one sentence that proved the ribbon was still working. "I have a new toy to get acquainted with tonight."

Torres grinned. "I'm glad you like it. I really did think of you."

"I know, Torres."

Torres was yawning as they drove down a side street just outside of DC. He and McGee were heading to relieve Bishop and Quinn of their duties at the stakeout. The only problem being it was past midnight, and Torres clearly hadn't gotten enough sleep the night before. "Hey," McGee said softly. "Pull over. Let me drive for awhile."
Looking over, Torres laughed. "Cute, McGee, but I'd rather get to where we're going before sunrise."
"Torres, you're exhausted," McGee said. "The least I can do if we're going to be stuck with each other for twelve hours is let you catch a little shut-eye before we have to sit in an abandoned building for hours to see if anyone steals the bait."
"I still don't see why..." Torres yawned. "I still don't see why we had to have a whole bank of computers as bait when everything on them could be condensed to a flash drive."
"Because it's much easier to keep an eye on computers than a small flash drive," McGee said, looking Torres over. "Come on, let me drive."
Torres rolled his eyes and pulled over to the side of the curb, undoing his seat belt. "Fine," he groaned. "You mother hen. I'll crawl into the back and get some shut-eye."
McGee grinned victoriously and shifted over to the driver's seat once Torres had crawled into the back. He strapped in and kept driving, the sound of Torres snoring soon reaching his ears. McGee shook his head, yawning himself. He was exhausted, too, not that he'd let Torres know. No, Torres needed his sleep more than McGee did right now. It was fine. He would be just fine.
When they got to the building, McGee gently shook Torres awake and the two made their way inside. "Do you want first watch or should I take it?" McGee asked, knocking on the door to where Bishop and Quinn were situated.
"You're offering to take first watch while I sleep?" Torres scoffed, disbelief clear in his tone.
McGee shrugged noncommittally. "You seemed to need it. I can wake you up if there's any trouble."
"Sure you would," Torres said, this time layering his voice with heavy sarcasm.
"I'm serious, Torres. You need to sleep I can take first watch," McGee said, just as the door opened.
"Enjoy watching nothing happen all night," Bishop yawned. "I can't wait to go home and sleep."
"Seconded," Quinn mumbled, as she walked around Bishop and out the door. "I've been staring at nothing for the past twelve hours. I can't get home soon enough."
Torres grumbled, "Don't remind me," as they walked into the room and swapped information before Bishop also left.
"So. First shift. You or me?" McGee asked.
"You don't let things go, do you?" Torres groaned. "You take the first shift if you're so insistent on it."
"You're welcome," McGee said as he sat down by the monitors.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. I love you too," Nick snarked, lying down to sleep.
